Maintaining and preserving Bavaria’s cultural heritage is not the only aim of the Bavarian Palace Administration: we also want to make it more accessible and fill it with life. To succeed in this we’d like to offer you, our visitors, more opportunities for involvement. So we’re inviting you to discover our palaces, gardens and lakes in the social media as well!
On Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and in our blog, you can take a look with us behind the scenes of the Bavarian Palace Administration. And of course you’re very welcome to share your impressions with us! Mark your photos with the hashtag #schloesserbayern or add a link to our Facebook page @bayerische.schloesserverwaltung.
Please also note our regulations for photography and filming.
We’re looking forward to your contributions!

Bloggers are subject to the same regulations as other representatives of the press: full information is available in our service area. Please inform us of your visit in advance.
Photography and filming for non-commercial, private purposes (such as Instagram and Facebook) are permitted in all external areas and all the properties where the museum rooms can be visited without a guided tour (e.g. the Munich Residence, Nymphenburg Palace and Schleißheim Palace).
Some properties can however only be visited with a guided tour (e.g. Neuschwanstein Castle, Linderhof Palace and the Würzburg Residence). No photography is permitted here at all for organizational and conservational reasons. Please understand that this has proved necessary in order to protect the precious interiors and manage the passage of large numbers of visitors through relatively small rooms.
Tripods, flash etc. must not be used for indoor photos. Should you wish to use your photos commercially after all at a later date, please mail us at foto@bsv.bayern.de.
