The path to the entrance of the Kempten Residence on Hildegardplatz (west side of the building) is level; the path surface is granite paving with an approx. 1 metre wide strip of natural stone slabs.

Stepless access via a porch; the doors to the porch and foyer are manually operated and open outwards. The doors are open before the start of the guided tours; the tour staff will be happy to help if required.

A ramp leads from the foyer (ticket office) to the south-west staircase (lift, lockers).

Interior
  • The state rooms are located on the 2nd floor and can be reached without steps via a passenger lift (door width: 86 cm; cabin width: 1,07 m, cabin depth: 1,38 m).

  • On the way through the state rooms, there are door thresholds of 2-4 cm in height to overcome; if necessary, the management staff will be happy to help.

  • The connecting doors (width at least 90 cm) are open during the tour or are opened by the guide.
